Holiday Trip (11)
Day No. 11
Thanks to Kelvin's suggestion, I went to Monterey Bay. The weather was great at Monterey. I sailed out to watch whales. The wind blew hard and the boat shook hard too. But the view was awesome. After around 1 hour's sailing and searching, we finally located a whale. The trick was that we followed the whale with distance and waited the whale to show her tail. Whales are too shy to how their heads. :D Everyone on the boat was trying hard to photo the whale, except for the captain and the safe guard. They must be tired of whales. :)
After two hours' up and down, left and right, I was back to the land with an uncomfortable stomach. I then went to the famous Aquarium. It is a very big one. There were so many different kinds of fishes, and people as well, most of whom were parents with their kids.
When I got back to Palo Alto, where Kelvin's company is, I lost myself in the rain. Yes, it was rainning there. I mistakenly drove onto Highway 84, a bridge leading to the other side of the bay. The cost was 20 minutes, three bucks(for passing the bridge), and fear of not able to see Kelvin.
Due to zz's unavailability(actually, he was in Florida, shhh~~~, it is a secret), Yan, Tracy, Kelvin and I met in a bar at San Francisco for drinks and chats. We had a good time toghther that night, and planned our New Year's Eve party on Friday.
