Happy Hours
Our team in the company held a happy afternoon event today. All members of the group first had pizza lunch together and received a company shirt at 11:30. Then we headed to Main Event, which is a casino, though not like those in Vegas for gambling. At door, I got a $35 gift card for this afternoon. The company reserved Bowling, Billiards, Card Games so that they were all free of charge. Therefore, it was hard for me to use up all the credit in the gift card. I first played 3 games of Bowling. The last time that I played Bowling was back to year 2001 or even 2000, when I hanged out with high school buddies. I got 84, 86 and 132 for the three games. Quite impressive that I could still hit over 120 after that long. Three consecutive games made my fingers and forearm fatigued. Then I play two games of Billiards with one of my colleagues and won both. It attributes to the practices that I did in my apartment club house last month. :) The next one is laser tag. We 18 people were divided into two teams. Each person put on a vest with lights and sensors in the front, back, left and right and hold a phaser or laser gun to shoot others at the lights. It was the first time that I played this popular US game. The game was of great fun. I did a pretty good job by getting 8150 points in 15 minutes, 3rd on our red team. Our enemy, the blue team was much stronger, they beat us by a large advantage. The game was exhausting, I could hardly walk after it. (seems that I need more exercises.:)) After a beer of rest, I played Black Jack for a while. I won a lot, but gave up all the tokens after I was told that no token could be cashed. It was a waste of time by YYing in front of the table. :P I wasted quite some money on 机械手抓玩具 and played dancing mat for a while. Finally, I found one good game in the corner -- Boxing. I carried two gloves and wave my fists in front of the screen to attack, and move my feet and dance my body to dodge the heavy hit from the opponent. If I got 3 hits from my opponent, I lost one life. And three lifes are one game. I find myself quite talented in boxing. I took my first opponent's three lifes in one round and without losing a single life of mine. The fight was tiring because I need to hit him like 20 times to knock him down. The second opponent was much better. I knocked him down twice and he took my two lifes too. For the final fight, I lost by one hit. Sigh. The game rated me as a 3-star(out of 5 stars) professional by my aggressiveness, stamina, swiftness, and skills. Haha. Very happy. When I left for home, I still have some money in the card. I'll be back!!!
