wii
wii has been extremely popular since its launch last winter. Even now, which is 3 quarters after its lauch, it is still not easy to get one from the stores. In the past weekend, I searched Fry's, Best Buy, Circuit City, Costco and made many phone calls. Finally, I was able to get one console from a Target store in Austin.
Now the fun starts. I purchased a game "Rayman Raving Rabbids". Oh, boy. It is fun. Unlike PS2, which should be the most successful game console in history so far, wii needs much much more involvement. I can't sit still in the couch no more. I have to stand, shake my hands, wave my arms, jump around like a monkey and etc. Tasks include pure skills, i.e. the art to control the remote to point, tilt, rotate as well as strength/stamina. Sometimes I have to shake my hands like hell to get a job done. I guess it is not necessary for me to go to gym for a while. :D
Since I am simple and brutal, I like those mini-games that need strengh only. In those cases, I can always sail through the tasks without trying again.
Coming back to Rayman, there are 15 days of tasks. I am now in Day 4. Will keep you guys updated. :P

how much did it cost? kelvin is interested in that and we might try to buy it later after we move in the new house... we can do fights at home...hehe
$249.99 for the console, which includes the free sports games, a remote and a nunchuck. Most games are $49.99 each. If you want to fight each other, you will need to buy an extra set of remote/nunchuck, which will be $49.99. It is very fun, esp. for multiplayers.
建议你猛玩之前做些热身,就像去GYM一样。
因为要当心 Wii-itis.
